Hello, glad you are here! My name is Lauren (she/her), and I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist. I graduated from Ferris State University with both my BSW and MSW, in 2012and 2015, respectively. Some of my clinical interests are Attachment/Developmental Trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and Perinatal Mood/Anxiety Disorders. I am a certified EMDR therapist and utilize this neuroscience-based therapy when working with clients who have experienced trauma. Additional, interventions that I incorporate include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. The environment I like to create in a session is one in which the client feels safe, understood, and empowered. The therapeutic relationship is incredibly powerful, and my hope is that together we can define realistic goals and make meaningful change in your life. It is a privilege to enter the inner lives of the people I serve. I love living in rural Northern Michigan and enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, and camping. I live with my husband, our children, and probably too many pets. You are most likely to find me looking for rocks on a lakeshore or petting a dog.
